Strength with Inspiring Snapdragons

Today's card is all about showing off these beautiful Snapdragons! I was eager to make these blossom with some rich purples and opted for Berry Burst, paired with Bubble Bath and Pecan Pie.

Lets take a closer look at this card. I used some DSP for he background panel (Bright & Beautiful) & die cut the snap dragons in Berry Burst (solid image) and Pecan Pie (outline).
The middle panel - which looks like it could be Very Vanilla is actually Basic White. Look closely, can you see a pattern?
From scrap cardstock I die cut some outline snapdragons and used them as masks to blend the background in Pecan Pie. I think it looks so interesting and effective.
We musnt forget the inside panel also needs some loving.
This bundle is on the Last Chance list - search 'Snapdragon' for an awesome bargain.

Adventurous Sky Planes with Shy Shamrock

Today I'm sharing a cool plane card I made for a friends birthday. They love planes and the colour green so I went with that as my starting point!

The first layers to prepare is the Shy Shamrock card base (1/2 A4, scored at 10.5cm)
Next is the 3D Dotted Circles embossed background panel (10cm x14.5cm)

You'll also need x3 strips of DSP (2.5cm x 12.5cm each)
I cut my DSP strips from Take to the Sky (Adventurous Sky Suite) and I added some subtle colour with a a blending brush, as the paper is originally a soft grey. Always remember to slowly build the colour when blending, previous referred to as daubing or sponging, you can always add more colour but you cant remove it.
To my DSP strips I also gold embossed the rivet panel stamp image to the edges, again another subtle element.

The final steps are to create a frame for the plane to sit in front of
Shy Shamrock cardstock (7cm x 9.5cm) & Basic white also embossed with Dotted Circles (6.5cm x 9cm)
Stamp your aeroplane from Adventurous Sky onto Basic White in Shy Shamrock ink and gently 'drag'n the colour into the white spaces using a Blender pen.
I never forget the inside,  even if its just adding a couple of stamped images to carry the them thru.

A Birds Eye View on the Books!

Todays card is all about colouring with Stampin' Blends whilst showcasing the beautiful Birds Eye View stamp set from the 2024/25 Annual catalogue.

Lets take a closer look at this card. I began by layering many of the images (birds) and the books with a simple masking technique. Then the fun began colouring with a rainbow like range of colour. Stampin Blends are so easy to use. The vibrant colours and easy of 'blending' the light and dark makes you look like a pro with just a little practice. I personally like to lay the LIGHT colour first, hghlight with the DARK, then go back over with the LIGHT to blend the colours together. What do you prefer?
The inside also has a little cuti, coloured in the same way as the others.
To recreate this card you will need...
- A stamp set with outline images
- Cardstock: Poppy Parade for the base (1/2 A4)
Gorgeous Grape, Lemon Lime Twist & Basic white cardstock
- Memento Black Ink for the images
- Stampin Blends to colour in

From cake slice to wood planks for Lets Craft Together Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Let's Craft Together Blog Hop! This months theme is a Photo Inspiration Challenge. Thanks Michele for a great hop theme.

I have created a 'wood panel' inspired card using a CAKE stamp! Let me explain how I did it, but first lets check out the inspiration pic below for what lead me to this crazy idea.
Here's the challenge picture as set out by Michele. I'm loving ALL the colours and the vertical wood planks in browns in grey tones.

Now lets take a closer look at my card. I knew I wanted wood panels and little or no flowers but how to achieve lookalike wood without an obvious stamp or designer paper? The answer came in the form of a cake slice .. from Cake Fancy. Stamped in all the colours - Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive, Pecan Pie and Gray Granite - I love it!

Finished with the postcard stamp and sentiment from Stamped With Love and a pretty bow in the new ribbon and colour Basic Beige!
For the inside some simple stamping with the new Online Exclusive  - Elements of Text (my new favourite background images) the teeny leaf image is from Cake Fancy
I love using stamps in a new and different way - I think its my special skill! Its fun.
What other images can you see in these sets?
Be sure to continue on the hop below!

For You Wildflower Birthday DSP for Lets Craft Together Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Let's Craft Together Blog Hop! Can you believe its February ALREADY? This months theme is a Sketch challenge. Have you noticed the last few catalogues have a variety of sketches to help you craft with?  I'm loving the helpful sketches - they really do help me break out of my comfort zone and if I'm feeling stuck for an idea, I have somewhere I can go to easily. Check out page 12 of the latest mini catalogue for lots of new inspiration.

So I've created this fun, bright birthday card using the new Designer Series paper in the Wildflower Birthday Suite. The DSP pack contains gorgeous floral patterns, laced with accents of gold, but also has x2 sheets of pre printed pre die cut images. Such a great way to showcase even more coordinating images that would make any project shine.

The coordinating stamp set and bundle is definitely a must have, with 'just the right size' number dies included.
Here's the challenge picture, can you spot my inspiration sketch?

Lets take an even closer look at this card design. The pre printed pre cut flowers made creating this card easy and I knew no matter which flowers I picked - it was going to coordinate and look great.
For the inside, I've used a thin strip of DSP and another pre printed image.

Be sure to continue on the hop below!
