Black, White and Bright Balloon Festoon for Lets Craft Together Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Let's Craft Together Blog Hop! This months theme is Black, White and Bright! How fun right? I have created a fun Balloon card using the newly released Balloon Festoon Bundle.

I've chosen to use BLACK and WHITE as per the blog theme and added Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger and Granny Apple Green for the BRIGHT component. I love the combination!
Here's the challenge picture
Lets take a closer look at this card. I started by die cutting lots of different sized balloons - x3 size, in the various colours.
The white background panel is embossed with Hearts of Love Embossing Folder, adds a cute touch.
Then I began to arrange and glue the balloons starting with those most in the foreground and worked my way up the layers to the largest of die cuts.  I added some white light spots to some and used dimenstionals on the top most balloons for added dimension.
For the inside a couple of 'leftover' pieces were glued in.
I love this set. I was really surprised at how BIG the largest Balloon dies are - they're huge!

Unbridled Beauty Collage card for Lets Craft Together Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Let's Craft Together Blog Hop. This months theme is Background Techniques!

I have created a background using one of my favourite stamping techniques... a stamped collage of images. This technique is fun, totally unique and can be used with any stamp set.
Lets take a closer look at this card. Heres the stamped panel before I added the sentiment. I always start with the largest images and work my way from the centre outwards.
You'll notice I roughed up the edges, I think it makes it look old and leathery.  I used the outside edge of my scissors (closed) and ran it along the paper edge, pressing and going back n forth until the desired distressing is achieved.
I've gone for some unconventional colour choices here but I love ORANGE and PINKS together!
A quick inside stamping to match
This stamp set is available for purchase, its a great set!

Cocktail Umbrella Card - Chain Card Swap for Sharni

Welcome to the Chain Card Swap Blog Hop! This hop is all about Sharni and the CASES of her card. I encourage you to start the beginning and follow along to see the progression of her card through the group. Its so interesting to see the development!

I was 2nd in the chain for this Round and have created a split front card and featured the cocktail umbrellas from the Cheers and Sips Bundle.
Lets take a closer look at this card. The fun cuts in this card were fun and maybe a little tricky to do - I love a challenge so it was worth the effort.  The DSP is from Boho Vibes. I love the vibrancy and funky patterns.
These arent my usual go to colours, as much as I love yellow, I would never pair 2 yellows together! I love this card challenged me in more ways than 1
I used some spare off cuts to decorate the inside corners
Such a great bundle that pairs well with any paper and colour!

Boardwalk Fun - Chain Card Swap for Danielle

Welcome to the Chain Card Swap Blog Hop! This hop is all about Danielle and the CASES of her card. I encourage you to start the beginning and follow along to see the progression of her card through the group. Its so interesting to see the development!

I was 10th in the chain for this Round and have created a fun DIE inspired card with the Boardwalk Fun Bundle. As you can see this card is very different from the first card in this round, BOY O BOY didnt this card do a 180! All the cards in this round are gorgeous, and this is the beauty of a swap you just dont know how the last card will look!
Lets take a closer look at this card. Lots of dies layered to create a fun and interesting front. You can see the 3 panels of dsp in the background
A super cool colour combination, very mature and rich in deep tones.
Of course I carried the theme to the inside!
Sad to see this bundle go on the Last Chance list - but definitely grab one its great fun to play with.

Sunflowers and Butterflies - Chain Card Swap for Genna

Welcome to the Chain Card Swap Blog Hop! This hop is all about xx and the CASES of her card. I encourage you to start the beginning and follow along to see the progression of her card through the group. Its so interesting to see the development!

I was 4th in the chain for this round and have created this peek-thru card. I've used some now retired products but you could use any emboss folder and stamp set to create something similar,
Lets take a closer look at this card. The Sunflower emboss folder is a MUST have item, the detail is so beautiful, can you see it peeking thru the middle of my card?
The butterflies were fun to stamp using the masking technique to create the illusion of layered butterflies. I also then really enjoyed colouring with these pink, purple and medium brown stampin blends.
Some butterflies for the inside paenel too, along with some hand drawn dots with my Stampin' blends
Although retired now - this is a stamp set I have reached for many times, I love the sentiments, the wording and the fonts used are among my favourite go to.
