Let it Ride

Today we’re going to create a square card with a quick & easy fun fold! This stamp set ‘Let it Ride’ retires in just a few days so be sure to get yourself a set before it goes forever. Let’s begin!

I really enjoy fun folds especially an interesting easel card. This one was very quick to create,

Starting with the card base, cut the A4 sheet down to 5-1/2” x 11”, then score in half at 5-1/2”
Next score on a diagonal the front flap - score from point to point.

Cut the DSP in the same way on a diagonal from point to point.

Stick them down to the card base

Stamp your white panel as you please. I used the horses from ‘Let it Ride”
Layer it with the Early Espresso cardstock and adhere to the front of your Card. I did use dimensionals (foam dots) remember to only add them to the bottom half.

Don’t forget the inside stamping too. Raise the inside greeting with a dimensional so the easel has somewhere to rest on.

See A Silhouette DSP

As the end of the month approaches so does the end of another annual catalogue. Sadly some of my favourites will be retiring soon so I’m sharing some last minute ideas for my favourite bundles, paper and stamp sets. Thankfully the Sailing Home stamps (this lighthouse one!) and matching die set are staying for another year, but we say goodbye to this beautiful DSP pack - See A Silhouette.

This wave-like paper makes for a great background to the light house and sailing boats.
It almost looks like they’re riding the wave.

I don’t often stamp directly on coloured cardstock but I think these boats look great on this Smoky Slate cardstock

The last design I have to show you is a little different to the others. I cut out all the wave-like images and arranged them to a whisper white panel, I then cut a vellum sheet to cover the top. I love the way vellum blurs out the harsh lines.

A simple greeting is all that’s needed.

Introducing the NEW 2020-2022 InColours with Celebrate Sunflowers

Today I’m introducing you to the NEW 2020-2022 InColours from our upcoming 2020 Annual Catalogue! I’m really excited to be sharing this with you. These colours are smoking HOT especially paired with the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle (coming soon 3rd June).

Let me show them off to you.
I have named each picture with its colour name for easy reference.
I love the way Stampin’ Up! name their colours, it makes it so fun.

I really wanted to show off the colours so I created a tone on tone look for each card.
I started by stamping the front panels with the beautiful images in the sunflower stamp set, some all around the edges, some just in the corners.
I did this in Versamark ink, so I could then add CLEAR embossing powder.

How 🔥🔥 is this pink!? This is certainly going to be a hot favourite.
I also stamped the sentiments with Versamark & clear embossed these too.
The stamped panel & the sentiment have been raised with dimensionals

You’ll notice the sunflower die-cut just behind the sentiment.
This was cut from vellum, so as not to take away too much from the cool background.

This no doubt will also be a very very popular colour.
To finish off these cards I added some InColour Enamel dot embellishments & we’re done!
