Christmas Banner for Lets Craft Together Blog Hop

Feliz Navidad! Merry Christmas and welcome back to another Let's Craft Together Blog Hop! This months theme is Decorate the Christmas Tree. What a novel idea - to create something to decorate the tree! So many possibilities.

I have created a Peaceful Christmas Banner. It fits in perfectly with the doves and ponsietta flowers in my tree.

Here's the challenge picture

Lets take a closer look at this project.

I began by die cutting letters from glimmer paper. I like to bring a little of my own culture to each christmas so spelling out Feliz Navidad was easy with the Mini Alphabet die set. 

I adhered each letter to a 1' circle cut out. Each DSP banner measures 2-1/2 ' x 2", I cut out a little banner edge to each one. 

I added a few bows for a sweet touch...

... along with some Hues of Blue Flower embellishments

It looks great in the tree and matchs the colours of my tree decorations so well!

Cheers and Sips - Card Chain Swap for Cindy

I was 8th in the chain for this round and have created a refreshing card of mixed drinks!

Lets take a closer look at this card.

I love that the dies match the DSP for this set, so I was able to die cut these 'drinks' and just embellish them with the ice stamp and the citrus circles. 

For a fun twist, I tied some In Colour Ribbon to my sentiment panel, where my drinks are adhered to - I've never tried that before

For the inside I adhered a strip of the matching DSP from the front

Such a great stamp set and bundle perfect for card giving this coming summer!

Toadstools and Boho Vibes DSP Sampler - Card Chain Swap for Danielle

Welcome to the Chain Card Swap Blog Hop! This hop is all about Danielle and the CASES of her card. I encourage you to start the beginning and follow along to see the progression of her card through the group. Its so interesting to see the development!

I was 3rd in the chain for this round and have created what I describe as a Sampler Card. Each square shares something different, like a sample. 

Lets take a closer look at this card. I REALLLLLY enjoyed casing this card design and knew straight away I wanted to incorporate Boho Vibes DSP and the Toadstools stamp set in Regal colours. The toadstools and mushrooms looks so great in the earthy tones. I also really like the texture and height of those stamped squares. I can't live without foam dimensionals.

How did I do?

For the inside I stamped lots of the mushrooms  - Cajun Craze is one of my most favourtie tones, its so rich and stamps incredible!

I can't wait to try this design with other products - you can pretty much mix n match any stamps, colour combos and DSP in this way.

Arched Cupcake card - Chain Card swap for Me, Carolina

This is first in the chain for this round and I created a Birthday card using the cupcake and the Arches dies as the main feature! 

Lets take a closer look at this card.

My most favourite part of this front is the cupcake! Its a nice large image that cover a lot of space and is easy to fussy cut too. 

I lightly coloured the cupcake with some Blends, but kept the colouring to the outlines only, I didnt want it fully saturated in colour. 

For the inside I carried thru with some Fresh Freesia star bursts and Happy Birthday in Azure Afternoon

Kintsugi Inspirations - Card Chain Swap for Sharni

Welcome to the Chain Card Swap Blog Hop! This hop is all about Sharni and the CASES of her card. I encourage you to start the beginning and follow along to see the progression of her card through the group. Its so interesting to see the development!

 I was 5th in the chain for this round and have created a funky diagonal cut for the front of this card. 

Sometimes we forget we can cut paper in all manners to show case the different paper and patterns, this is a great way to do that there is lots of the Kintsugi aper on show case here. 

Lets take a closer look at this card. I really like the diagonal cuts on the front, I could have switched out the patterns more, but I really do love symmetry. 

The front square panel is propped up on foam dimensionals and has some fine flower die details. 
I recently attended a workshop where starting with some basic white card cardstock you colour with a blending brush and ink pad, gently colour from light to dark, then use this to die cut from. You end up with a beautiful delicate looking piece thats interesting in colour and looks great on any project. 

Keeping it simple and in tone for the inside with some stamping, blending with some more dies and DSP.

I'm really enjoying this Suite so much, the colours are beautiful and the cards look so elegant!
