I was inspired by the designers sketch over at the Global Design Project with challenge #GDP003
I went with a simple look for this card as I really wanted the letters to stand out and I think I have achieved that! Apart from loving that song "Push it" from Salt n Pepa - which is most definately not what the GDP had in mind with this challenge (they sing "ooh baby baby tonnes in the song!) - somehow I couldn't help but think of and maybe sing along out loud to this catchy song as I crafted... lol! Here is my card!
The real heroes of this card are the "Little Letters Thinlets" - an alphabet set of dies for your Big Shot. So awesome for creating your own sayings as I have done on this card.
It may look like I have glued the 'cut out' letters but in fact I have used the 'negative' and I lay a piece of Schoolhouse DSP underneath the white panel. To make the letters stand out I went around with my Basic Gray Stampin' Write marker and Candy dots!

Thanks Carolina, now I am gonna be singing that song in my head the rest of the day :) Seriously, this is a great card. I love how you combined challenges to create a fun baby card! Thanks for playing along this week at Global Design Project.
ReplyDeleteCarolina, what a great idea to use a line from a song on your card. I just wanted to break out into song!! Thanks for playing at Global Design Project this week ♥
ReplyDeleteAwesome as always Carolina! Thank you so much for playing along with this week's Global Design Project color challenge! Look forward to seeing what you come up with next week!
ReplyDeleteYou were right - you had me fooled. I totally thought you'd used the letter cut outs until I looked more closely. Ingenious to use the candy dots too. I always forget I have those! Great card. Thanks for supporting us and playing along again!
