I have been making lots of cards today, including this Pool Party beauty. I like the simple layout and that DSP is just gorgeous! My colour inspiration came from this paper - Cupcakes & Carousels.
I tried to simulate the multicolours in the DSP images in my stamping. See here the circus tents.. I first stamped in So Saffron, then stamped off the edges onto some scrap paper by using the 'rock'n'roll' technique, then I 'rock'n'rolled' in Pool Party - not too bad huh? You can also achieve this look with Stampin' Write markers.
Try making this card!
- Cardbase in Pool Party cardstock
- A4 cut in half at 14.9cm, scored at 10.5cm
- Front:
- So Saffron Frame 2-3/4" x 5-7/8"
- Early Espresso Frame 2-1/2" x 5-7/8"
- Cupcakes & Carousel DSP Panel 2-3/8" x 5-7/8"
I was inspired by the designers sketch over at the
Global Design Project with challenge
#GDP070
and my card was given a
special mention too!
Be inspired with this colour combination, feel free to share and pin it!
