Today we are stepping back in time! This stamp set reminds me so much of the 1950's. I wasn't even born yet but the images are very typical of that era. I especially love that gorgeous pleated skirt. As this is my favourite part of the image, I have over emphasised the skirt by stamping it onto So Saffron cardstock and 'pieced' it to the card with dimensionals. Piecing is fussy cutting a part of an image.
I have used soft colours to colour (with markers) this picture. It has a sweet and innocent feel to it, but still looks great combined with some traditional colours too. I couldn't resist adding some bling to her Pom Pom hat and some Wink of Stella to the cuffs of her top and shoes.
If you like the colour combination, please share it on your favourite Pinterest board!
