Butterfly Basics Reverse Pop Out #gdp089

I really loved creating yesterday's card for the Colour Inksipration, so I've made a similar card for the Global Design Project. It's been ages since I used this set and it's so easy to collage the images, they just 'go'. 

I was inspired by the Global Design Project colour challenge #GDP089. I love the GDP - these colours I usually wouldn't put together, but that's the whole challenge right?! How great do they look. It's all about proportion & balance.

Get Well Soup - perfect for Winter!

It's well and truly Autumn down here in Melbourne. The leaves have turned all kinds of shades of orange & golden yellow, the days are shorter and the nights are freezing cold. It won't be long until our real winter us here which also means the likelihood of colds and flus is high! Now I hope no one gets really unwell this winter but these cute cards are ready to go if I need to cheer someone up.  Let me show you 4 different colouring techniques. 

 

One of my favourite techniques is fussy cutting! 

Watercolouring doesn't need to be perfect, even a messy looks great! 

I've even coloured the lettering to give them a lift!

 

These new pencils are really vibrant and make watercolouring really easy.

I have chosen this great project to CASE. I really like the simple and cuteness of these notecards.

 

Here is my CASE. I've used the Best Birds Bundle to make these notecards with a secret surprise. A pull out panel with the sentiment!

The Mint Macaron panel has foam adhesive strips along 3 edges.

Here's a closer look at the watercoloured bird. I started with a Wisteria Wonder coat on the wings and belly, followed by Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede.

Try making this card!

• Cardbase in Wisteria Wonder cardstock 
• You can make 2 from an A4 sheet
• A4 cut down the long edge @  4-1/8" (so piece measures 8-1/4" x 4-1/8"
• Scored @ 4-1/8"
• Front:
• Mint Macaron Frame 3-3/4" x 3-3/4"
• Whisper White Panel 3-5/8" x 3-5/8"
• Whisper White for pull out panel 3-1/4" x 3-1/4"
• Inside:
• Mint Macaron Frame 3-3/4" x 3-3/4"
• Whisper White Panel 3-5/8" x 3-5/8"

No Bones About It RAWR!

RAWR!! I really had fun making these cards for my Swaps for Sydney. I was inspired by a fabulous card from Fran Sabad (pictured below) - I think the Large Letters look so awesome stamped up!

I stamped out like 9 sheets of A4 whisper white with loads and loads of dinosaurs. 

Cut out all the letters & adhered them onto the card fronts

My inspiration - how beautiful is Fran's card?
