Gift Wrapped - Gift Card Holder Card

Hello! Can you believe it’s nearly Spring? This means Christmas is just a few months away so let’s get ourselves ready in time with these cute and easy Gift Card Holder cards. Here it is all nicely ’gift wrapped’.

Once you remove the belly band the inside is decorated simply and has a section for your gift card in the middle flap.

Here are the main stamps I used - get 10% off when you purchase in a bundle this one is only $54.75 AUD plus postage.

Let’s get started, once you have your cardbase cut & scored (as detailed above) valley & mountain fold all the score lines.
Add a strip of strong adhesive like Tear n Tape along the 3” score line. Remove the backing and stick it down to the 6” score line to create a flap in the middle of the card.

Burnish the lines really well, this will help when using a punch to go through 2 layers of card.
To create the slot where the gift card will sit, line up a punch, such as the one pictured, to the edge of the cardstock, repeat on the other side.

You should be able to slide the gift card into the slot.

To create the belly band, stamp a cute and simple image all over it.

The best way to ensure you have a good fitting belly band is to secure it while the cardbase is in between.
Add your embellishments such as the bow onto the front and inside panels and you’re done!
These colours work so well for a fresh Christmas feel. You can easily make 2 holders from a sheet of A4. You’ll have the whole family covered in no time at all!

Sailing Home Bundle

I’m loving this bundle! Here’s another design with some nice bright colours and lots of layers too. If you haven’t already got this bundle you’ve only got a few more days to take advantage of the 10% discount you get when purchasing a bundle. after June 3rd you will still be able to purchase the stamp set and dies but it will cost you more. Check out my online store for this bundle.

I’m a big fan of the colour green and I am going to miss this InColour Call Me Clover. It’s a vibrant and happy colour.
I just about used every die in this set but they look so great together and layered up on the sentiment too.
The green rectangles were cut with Stitched Rectangle Dies and popped up with dimensionals.

Don’t forget the inside panel!

Bloom & Grow - Create an interesting Cardfront

Today I’ve created a card front with lots of layers using stamps, dies & markers. The beautiful bug sentiment ‘let’s celebrate you’ is from the.Bloom and Grow stamp set, which is carrying over to the new catalogue in a weeks time.
To begin with I cut a sheet of A4 cardstock in half lengthways to make a card case that is landscape and opens on the long side.
I then cut 2” off the Blushing Bride cardfront and used this piece to die cut part of a floral design. You could use any detailed die for this step.
To the base I also stamped some flowers in Blushing bride ink, position them so they will ‘peek out’ from the sentiment.
Next with SU Alcohol markers I drew some lines across a piece of whisper white 3” x 4-1/8” they don’t have to be straight, just free hand them.
Die cut some motifs from Soft Sea Foam cardstock and stamp your sentiment using the Swirly Frames stamps to dress it up.
To arrange your pieces you’re going to want to ‘sandwich’ the card front/blushing bride die cut/whisper white panel together.
Arrange your motifs and sentiment to the front with dimensionals.

Don’t forget the inside panel! Bloom & Grow is a great colouring in set.

Let it Ride

Today we’re going to create a square card with a quick & easy fun fold! This stamp set ‘Let it Ride’ retires in just a few days so be sure to get yourself a set before it goes forever. Let’s begin!

I really enjoy fun folds especially an interesting easel card. This one was very quick to create,

Starting with the card base, cut the A4 sheet down to 5-1/2” x 11”, then score in half at 5-1/2”
Next score on a diagonal the front flap - score from point to point.

Cut the DSP in the same way on a diagonal from point to point.

Stick them down to the card base

Stamp your white panel as you please. I used the horses from ‘Let it Ride”
Layer it with the Early Espresso cardstock and adhere to the front of your Card. I did use dimensionals (foam dots) remember to only add them to the bottom half.

Don’t forget the inside stamping too. Raise the inside greeting with a dimensional so the easel has somewhere to rest on.
