I have made a pretty tag today! I often stick to cards but I wanted to make this Dragonfly really pop. I have used some SAB FREE Glimmer paper.

 All panels (Blushing Bride, Basic Black & Vellkum) are attached through the hole made with the Scallop Tag Topper punch.

Dragonfly Dreams - An Irene Rahman Creation

Today's card was designed by my friend and downline Irene Rahman - you can see her work here.
Irene ran a fundraising night and we made this gorgeous card.  I love all the elements to it. The background the oval cut outs - its a beautiful creation - Go Irene!

 Can you guess how the background was created? BUBBLES!!! Add some drops of reinker to an ordinary bottle of bubbles and start blowing. Catch the bubbles on your panel of whisper white and as they land and pop they leave splatters of colour. Its a really fun technique.

Dragonfly Cards - Who wore it better?

I've gone Dragonfly crazy and I have created another today- well 2 actually. I have titled this post 'who wore it better?' ...like its a red carpet or something! haha I have used 2 differet DSP packs and chosen my favourite pattern from each to create 2 similar cards. You will see they are similar in design and layout, but they are different looking because of the DSP and I'm not sure I can choose which I like better... can you help me choose? Who wore it better?

Bold Splash of Colour - Dragonfly card

Boy o boy - I had a lot of fun creating this today! I have been busy playing with watercolouring techniques and I came across a gorgeous card that had just the background I was looking to create. Paula Dobson created a beautiful card for the GDP using the 'Ink Refill Smooch Technique'. I created a similar backgroud - excepr there was no 'smooching' involved- hahah.

To create this background was use Watercolor paper, ink refills from the Regal Family and an Aqua painter. Brush water with the Aqua Painter all over your watercolor paper, then begin to add dros of ink from the Refill bottles, just one drop at a time. The colour will only run where there is water.

I love the way these colours work so well together.
