Crazy Crafters Blog Hop - Special Guest Debbie Henderson

Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. We're so excited to share our projects and we're certain that you will find great tips and inspiration from all our creations. Joining us today is Debbie Henderson from the USA! We've all selected a project to CASE {Copy & Selectively Edit} from our very special guest. The full lineup below will help you move along the hop, so grab a cuppa and enjoy!

I have chosen this spooky project to CASE. It really caught my attention as I love both the card design and the ghosts made from the Owl Punch (now retired) - just genius!

For my CASE I have used the Spotlighting technique to show off  the images from 'Oh So Eclectic'. Simply stamp an image in a light colour for the base, then stamp the stamp image in a darker tone to 'highlight' a certain part. As if a 'spotlight' was focused on this part.

The Navy stripe behind the circles us actually new Crunkled Seam Binding Ribbon!

If you like the colour combination, please share it on your favourite Pinterest board!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed seeing my project please take a few moments to leave me a comment I'd love to hear what you think. There are so many amazing creations you won't want to miss. Please check the line up list to see who is up next!

On So Eclectic -Stained Glass Technique

This is a great technique to show off the beautiful flowers in the Oh So Eclectic stamp set. Thanks to my friend Irene for teaching it to me. You simply Emboss any favourite outline image onto Vellum using White Emboss powder. After you heat set the emboss powder you turn the Vellum over and colour the images from the reverse side. You can colour in so many ways but the best ways for Vellum are with Stampin' Write markers, Watercolor pencils & Ink pad colouring with a Blender pen. This card was coloured using a Blender pen and ink from an ink pad.

Go on, try making this card!
  • Cardbase in Whisper White cardstock
  • A4 cut in half @ 14.9cm [5-7/8"]
  • Scored @ 10.5cm [4-1/8"]
  • Front:
  • Fresh Fig Frame 9.5 x 14cm  [3-3/4" x 5-1/2"]
  • Whisper White Panel 8.9 x 13.4cm [3-1/2" x 5-1/4]
  • Vellum Panel 8.9 x 13.4cm [3-1/2" x 5-1/4]
  • Embossed flowers in white on the Vellum
  • On the reverse side colour in flowers with ink from ink pad and a blender pen

If you like the colour combination, please share it on your favourite Pinterest board!
