This month I have created projects with some new and some retiring items. This time of year is a little sad as some favourites from the Stampin'Up! Annual catalogue will retire but of course they are being replaced with some new and STUNNING goodies! This fits perfectly with our Thinking of You, Get Well, Sympathy theme this month.
Just Sitting Here Card
If you haven't seen the new catalogue yet there's only 12 more sleeps to go until you can start ordering from it! Here is a new stamp set 'Sitting Here' that is just soooo lovely! I have used only 2 colours Dapper Denim & Soft Suede. They're not 2 colours I would normally put together however I think they work really well on this card. The swing stamp is so adorable and those cute cushions GOSH!
'Doctors' Goodie bag
This cute little bag of treats is made from Stampin' Up! Corrugated cardstock. This is one of the retiring items. You can just see the inside and I lined it with some envelope paper. For the embellishments I actually sewed the buttons on and the tag is attached to the linen thread that wraps around the buttons. I sponged it all over for a used look and decorated the corners with circles punched with the 1-3/8" punch.

The inside carries the theme through. After watching Ruth Trice in the UK and her gorgeous collection of InColour cards, I was inspired to create a monotoned card. I used this card for my Monthly card class and the girls looooved it! As the set has other little pictures, there were some cats and pot plant ones in the mix. My tip for keeping the swing white and crisp is to create a post-it note mask. Stamp swing onto Whisper White in Soft Suede, place mask over the top and complete all your sponging and stamping.

Make the Base of this Bag:
Base measures 6" x 12" and scored at 3" & 5"
The side panels measure 2-1/4" x 3" - you will need to score a 1/4" around 3 sides.
For the flap I cut a strip 2-1/2" x 6" rounded the corners and stapled it to the back.

Who wouldn't love a little treat when they're under the weather?
Tea, tissues and choccies (aka 'pills')
Bending corrugated cardstock can be difficult, I used a glass bottle to curve the lid.
