Red White & Blue - Feliz 18 Celebrating Chile’s Independence

Today we celebrate my heritage! I'm a proud Latina woman and today was all about celebrating that along with my family and friends... well as best we could during lockdown times! I made this card to celebrate the day. Its by far the QUICKEST card I have ever created... a few cuts here and there and we're done! The Chilean culture is full of delicious food, music, dances and good wine!

I even dressed up according to the colours RED WHITE & BLUE 

Some of my favourite things.. we have a little Copper plate, Zampoñia (pan pipes) and the wooden kids toys are Trombo (bottom, like a spinning top) & Embuco (aim of the game is to get the top on to land on the stick) 

I realised I don't own a star punch or star dies.. ahhh SHOCK!...but to the rescue came the Starfish from Seaside Seashells to create the flags star.

I think its important to share yoru culture with the next generation..so we painted flags on old cardboard boxes

We displayed them as our background for our ZOOM calls that day 

We all pitched in and made Empanadas.. (beef pie)

We even squeezed in some cookie decorating 

Such concentration! Love it

We had a full on day! But it was worth the effort.
