My Onstage At Home Make n Takes! CASEing Shannon West with Celebrating Sunflowers, Timeless Tropical & Blossoms in Bloom

I was so excited to participate in this years ONSTAGE at home. As expected it was FULL of excitment, new products, fantastic ideas and the chance to craft together, even if it was all from the comfort of our homes. Today I'm sharing my 'make n takes' casing the awesome Shannon West. I used bundles I already own.

This first card uses the Timeless Tropical Bundle. I'm really loving Cinnamon Cider its such a rich neutral colour, it mixes well with some bright colours especially Fresh Freesia.

The 2nd card here uses Celebrating Sunflowers. Using the dies to decorate the card the only stamped piece is the sentiment - which if you look closely is stamped onto DSP. Have you tried this before?

The last card uses the Blossoms Bloom bundle, This card is soft in its colours and used quote a large image as its focal piece.  Keep on reading for a NEW stampin technique.

I'll also share a Stamping Technique I came up with whilst trying to find a stamp set with an outline image. I worked out quickly that I don't have any large images that have an outline stamp. So I had the idea to ink up the die that will serve as the outline stamp. IT WORKED!
1) Ink up the die, like you would a background stamp. 2)

Thanks so much for stopping by and hopefully I have inspired your creativity. I love reading your comments so show me some blog love & leave me a quick hello below!

Thinking of You with Beautiful Moments

This is such a beautiful stamp set! It reminds me of my sisters when we were kids. I must thank my stamping friend Amy K from Nth America for her original card - which I used as inspiration for mine.

Here’s what I used… I’m so loving the new Fluid 100 watercolour paper

I watercoloured the background to mimic sky and sand.  Then stamped and fussy cut the girls on Basic White cardstock

Don’t forget the inside panel! I think the stamp set combo of  Beautiful Moments and Friends are like Seashells works really well!

Purple Window Frames with Welcoming Window

Today I feel like I’ve created a masterpiece! I’m in love with this card it has so many parts to it, let me take you through it.

I haven’t used this bundle yet so I was super excited to crack it open.

I started with an Old Olive frame and a Macrame embossed Very Vanilla panel. Next to create the window scene I used Fresh Freesia cardstock and the dies from the bundle. I have never seen a purple window before! I love it. The jug, flowers, pot plant and foliage you can stamp how you like I mixed it up by stamping full strength & stamping off (once).
The sentiment I ‘pieced’ together from the various verses in this bundle. Add dimension by lifting some pieces - take a closer look at the green shutters (one side is lifted the other glued to the base.

For the shutters I stamped off (once) with Old Olive ink and I did the same for the brick work in Cinnamon Cider ink. Usually we re-ink between stamping but stamping off is a way of creating a lighter image, definitely have some scrap paper handy to ‘stamp off’ onto so you can create that perfect shade or washed out look.

Don’t forget the inside panel!

Such a beautiful Spring fresh pallet

Very Versailles for World Card Making Day #WCMD2021

Every Friday afternoon, my Stampin Mum Kylie, Crazy Crafters have a zoom get together to craft for a bit. Before the VIC lockdowns, I was hardly ever able to make them, but I have soooo enjoyed jumping on when I can to craft along. This card I made in record time! I joined the meeting late and in preparation for WORLD CARD MAKING DAY 2021 (the following day) I created this card. I think the final time was 33mins... which is actually quite fast for me.  LOL

I picked an 'old' stamp set - Very Versailles and I challenged myself with my own colour challenge  - see my shirt below. I also finally baptised my Blending Brushes.. well lets not go crazy I used one.
I tried to use the black - but it didnt go so I went with white instead.

The girls online watched me make this and the GASPS as I ripped the cardstock was quite funny, but its so satisfying - like a stress relief.  My favourite parts to this card are the debossed background panel in Daffodil Delight and the layering/random stamping on the front white panel.

When you emboss a piece of cardstock you can choose which side you want to showcase - the flower petals will either be RAISED (embossed side) or SUNKEN (debossed). I'm sure either way would look great but its a great tip.
Some light stamping and blending with the brush for the inside.

I have quite the collection of Colour Combinations - check out my pinterest board for HUNDREDS of ideas - I recently celebrated my 10th Anniversary with Stampin' Up - so there's plenty ideas for you to use.
