Retiring Product Week - Day 6 - Bye Bye Cucumber Crush

 https://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/CategoryPage.aspx?categoryid=30100&dbwsdemoid=4005871
I never get tired of making Shaker Cards. They are fun and interactive so I'm sure they can provide hours of entertainment! Today we're saying bye to Cucumber Crush - such a fun and bright colour! I had to make a few extras in Pacific Point & Melon Mambo to join in the party.
Using some DSP for the background
Here's the colour combination I've used. How cute are these together?
 \
Up next we have Pacific Point. Can you spot the cake DSP in the background?
Love these colours together - Tempting Turquoise can pull colours together.
Melon Mambo! I'm not usually this girly about my cards - but this screams PARTY!
WOW - there's lots of PINK here, but used in the right balance it works.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed seeing my project please take a few moments to leave me a comment I'd love to hear what you think.

Let's Shake! Happy Birthday Card

I have been inspired to make another shaker card! They really are just so fun to make. This time is a simple one but a happy one.Oh my that was such a dad joke. This cheery colour combination is sure to brighten anyones day! Here's my creation....
There are 2 very important things that really make it quick and easy to get this shaker card happening. 1. Layering Squares Framelit Dies - did you know there are 19 dies in this set?!
2. Sprinkles Punch - a couple punches in a few different colours and your're ready to shake!
Try making this card!

  • Daffodil Delight Frame 3-3/4" x 5-1/2"
  • Whisper White Panel 3-1/2" x 3-1/2"
  • Window Sheet cut at  3-1/2" x 3-1/2"

My inspiration came from Wendy's vey cool Halloween card showing a jar of falling lollies or teeth??
I've been wanting to make a pouring shaker card for a while - but I was racking my brain on how to construct it. I have created a quick tutorial on how I made this one, please feel free to use it!
I was excited to use the new Presents & Pinecones DSP that will be available from September 1st in the new Holiday Catalogue! It has some great items and you will love them all too!
The jars are embossed in Copper on Whisper White paper. Copper is such a cool metallic.
With just a few dies you can create this 'pouring shaker card' too. I added a full 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" of window sheet to help keep the shape of the rectangle and to ensure I covered all the blank spaces.
Try making this card!
  • Cardbase in Emerald Envy cardstock
  • Half A4 cut @ 10.5cm, scored @ 5-7/8"
  • Window Sheet - 3-3/4" x 5-1/2"
  • Cherry Cobbler Frame 3-7/8" x 5-5/8"
  • Presents & Pinecones DSP:
  • Cut 2 sheets of 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" one for the front (pinecones) and base (stripes)
  • Adhere the DSP to the Cherry Cobbler then die cut jars & stream as pic above.
  • I fussy cut the inside of the jars out, and stamped a second rim for each, adhered over the top.
