Jar Of Love for Cokey - casing Amy K

A few weeks ago the Crazy Crafters CASE'd Amy K and amongst her fab projects was this gorgeous card with the Jar of Love set.  I adore this bundle as it provides so many opportunities no matter the occasion you're crafting for.
https://stampwithamyk.com/2016/08/11/stampin-up-jar-of-love-for-the-happy-stampers-blog-hop/
Today I've CASE'd Amy's card using Dapper Denim as my base colour. I also added a strip of Dapper Envelope paper to the bottom of the card. The larger flowers are stamped in Pumpkin Pie & Peekaboo Peach. I really like how the blues and oranges compliment each other. My colour choices were inspired by our little pet goldfish 'Cokey'. Cokey recently changed from a light Coke coloured fish (yep like Coca Cola!) into a very bright orange. We all were like 'oh hello?!' So I dedicate this card to him (or her?).
 Try making this card!
  • Cardbase in Whisper White Thick cardstock
  • Cut A4 in half at 10.5cm and scored at 14.9cm
  • Front:
  • Night of Navy Frame 3-3/4" x 5-1/2"
  • Whisper White Panel 3-1/2" x 5-1/4"
  •  Dapper Denim Strip 1' x 3-3/4"
  •  Inside:
  • Night of Navy Frame 3-3/4" x 5-1/2"

My inspiration came from Wendy's vey cool Halloween card showing a jar of falling lollies or teeth??
I've been wanting to make a pouring shaker card for a while - but I was racking my brain on how to construct it. I have created a quick tutorial on how I made this one, please feel free to use it!
I was excited to use the new Presents & Pinecones DSP that will be available from September 1st in the new Holiday Catalogue! It has some great items and you will love them all too!
The jars are embossed in Copper on Whisper White paper. Copper is such a cool metallic.
With just a few dies you can create this 'pouring shaker card' too. I added a full 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" of window sheet to help keep the shape of the rectangle and to ensure I covered all the blank spaces.
Try making this card!
  • Cardbase in Emerald Envy cardstock
  • Half A4 cut @ 10.5cm, scored @ 5-7/8"
  • Window Sheet - 3-3/4" x 5-1/2"
  • Cherry Cobbler Frame 3-7/8" x 5-5/8"
  • Presents & Pinecones DSP:
  • Cut 2 sheets of 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" one for the front (pinecones) and base (stripes)
  • Adhere the DSP to the Cherry Cobbler then die cut jars & stream as pic above.
  • I fussy cut the inside of the jars out, and stamped a second rim for each, adhered over the top.

Be inspired with this colour combination, feel free to share and pin it!

This month I have created 2 Hopeful project that I hope you will enjoy!
We also have have 3 amazing Guest Hoppers that you should definately check out.

Hope Card
This card is meant to resemble a jar with a tealight candle. I added the inspirational photo below.
The Jar of Love stamp set is so very lovely to play with, it is delicate and can be used for all types of occasions. You will notice the jar is quite a bit larger than what the set suggests.. I stamped it twice using a mask to make it widdddder, then filled in the lines with a marker.
The embossing folder in the background is a NEW and upcoming item  - it is from the Paisley & Posie Suite and it so lovely! The 2016 Holiday Catalogue is out September 1st and any NEW items I have used will be available to purchase from that day!
How cute is the tealight candle? I made it with Silver Foil paper and using the 'lid' die from the coordinating Jar's framelit set. I shortened it by re-running it through the big shot a few times.
Hanging Garland
When I found out that my dear friend and fellow Crazy Crafter team member Angela was joining this hop - I knew I would case one of her Hanging Garlands. For this one I used Emerald Envy, Cucumber Crush, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and NEW coming soon ....wait for it... Copper Foil Sheets!!!! They will be available in the 2016 Holiday Catalogue out September 1st. This would make a beautiful gift to brighten ANYONE's day xx
I lost count of how many circles I cut, but it was all easy peasy with my 2" Circle punch! The circle which it is all held onto is a piece of florist wire that I bent around a vase to give it shape. It's all hidden up under that beautiful Pom Pom trim. The sewing machine had a good workout today!

Don't forget to comment with #SFAugHop to go into the prize draw!

Swirly Bird in Green, Green, Green #gdp046

http://www.craftykylie.com/2016/07/crazy-crafters-team-project-highlights_29.html
Welcome back for another project! Our Crazy Crafters are being highlighted over at our wonderful Mentor's blog - Kylie Bertucci you are the best! I'd love for you to vote for my project - <click here> to submit your vote! (Voting begins 6pm tonight). I was inspired by the designers sketch over at the Global Design Project with challenge #GDP046
http://www.global-design-project.com/2016/07/global-design-project-046-sketch.html
Here's my creation. It's crazy stamping all over and I loved creating it! Green is my favourite colour so it was easy to choose lots of greens for this card.
The top corner is decorated with some of my favourites - sequin trim, glimmer paper, vellum and of course the new in colour ribbons! All secured down with a staple - covered subtly with gold glitz.
 Don't forget the inside!
 Try making this card!
  • Aussie C6 card base in Emerald Envy cardstock (half A4)
  • (Front) Whisper White Frame 3-1/4" x 5"
  • (Front) Whisper White Panel 3" x 4-3/4"
  • (Inside) Mint Macaron Frame 3-3/4" x 5-1/2"
  • (Inside) Whisper White Panel 3-1/2" x 5-1/4"
Be inspired with this colour combination, feel free to share and pin it!
