Swirly Bird #WWYS80

This week we were challenged to use the Swirly Bird Stamp set.

I'm loving the simplicity of this card! I usually love a thousand layers but today I have stuck to a simplier but still very elegant and striking design. Swirly Bird is such a creative set, you can make just about anything with the shapes in this set. I have used it to create a soft background to the birds nest and a few speckles directly on the cardbase in Marina Mist. 

The coordinating framelit set is to die for. Have you seen the Coppper Foil in action yet? These pics do not do it justice - oh my I want to copper foil my house its soooo special!

• Cardbase in Marina Mist cardstock, A4 cut in half at 10.5cm and scored at 14.9cm
• Front:
• Cherry Cobbler Frame 3-5/8" x 3-5/8"
• Whisper White Panel 3-1/2" x 3-1/2"
• Die cut Cherry Cobbler piece from the above frame to save paper!
• Die Cut 2nd nest piece from Copper Foil
•  Inside:
• Cherry Cobbler Frame 3-3/4" x 5-1/2"
• Whisper White Panel 3-1/2" x 5-1/4"

Just for You Rose

Welcome back for another project! Our Crazy Crafters are being highlighted over at the very wonderful Kylie Bertucci's blog! I have created a cute and simple card that I gifted to my friend Rose Desmond - she is really just so lovely!

This is not a colour combination I would normally go for. I recently created a similar looking card (see here) that had a Emerald Envy cardbase and I wanted something different, something eyecatching. Well this definately is DIFFERENT.. and bright, you can't miss it!

• Cardbase in Sweet Sugarplum cardstock
• Half A4 cut @ 14.9cm, scored at 5-7/8"
• Whisper White Frame 3-1/2" x 5-1/4"
• Whisper White Panel for stamping cut at 3-1/4" x 5"
• White cardstock for the greeting

Swirly Bird in Green, Green, Green #gdp046

Welcome back for another project! Our Crazy Crafters are being highlighted over at our wonderful Mentor's blog - Kylie Bertucci you are the best! I was inspired by the designers sketch over at the Global Design Project with challenge #GDP046

Here's my creation. It's crazy stamping all over and I loved creating it! Green is my favourite colour so it was easy to choose lots of greens for this card.

 The top corner is decorated with some of my favourites - sequin trim, glimmer paper, vellum and of course the new in colour ribbons! All secured down with a staple - covered subtly with gold glitz.

 Don't forget the inside!
