Just Because - Everyday Chic for #GDP014

For todays card I was inspired by the Teneale William's sketch over at the Global Design Project with challenge #GDP014!  I loooove this challenge site. They really make my little brain think hard about what I will create for them!

Here's my card! I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've used this DSP - Everyday Chic shhh don't tell! Its on pg 142 of the Annual catalogue. It lends itself to some many different uses, like colouring in, sponging, brayering (is that even a word 'brayering'?). I'm loving Rich Razzleberry right now and I like the way its not too overpowering on this card - just hints of it is enough. I used my Rich Razzleberry marker to colour just a few of the little arrow-like designs on the DSP and added some cute punchies to the end of the twine.
When is the last time you used your fringe scissors? Crack'em open crafters - those scissors are so much fun and spice up any project!

Try making this card! Here are the measurements for you:
  • Aussie C6 card base in Whisper White Thick cardstock
  • Basic Black Frame 3-3/4" x 5-1/2"
  • Everyday Chic DSP Panel 3-1/2" x 5-1/4"
  • Rich Razzleberry Fringed Banner 7/8" x 3-1/2"
Be inspired with this colour combination, feel free to share and pin it!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop June - New Favourite Products

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters blog hop for June. This month we are excited to show off our favourite Stampin’ Up! products from the just released 2015 – 2016 Annual Catalog/Catalogue. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. Get your wish list ready!
You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog Studio Evans with me Carolina Evans or may have come from the person previous to me in the list below. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you can see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting me Carolina Evans.

I feel in love instantly when I saw this beautiful 'Fox' image which is part of a gorgeous Artistic stamp set - The Wilderness Awaits, and I couldn't wait to stamp him, he's just so beautiful!
LOTS OF NEW PRODUCTS!!

THE WILDERNESS AWAITS: No matter your crafting style - you must add this set to your wishlist! Its beautiful!
LOTS OF LABELS Framelits: They layer beautifully, the straight sides make placement on any card just too easy! I will be using these a lot more too!
SWEET LI'L THINGS DSP:  I couldn't resist adding in this really cute cloud covered DSP from Sweet L'il Things, there is even a sheet of cutie foxes in Tip Top Taupe.
TIN OF CARDS PHOTOPOLYMER Stamp Set: I'm just loving this new set for all its versatility in the varied greetings, I stamped 'a happy hello' in Crumb Cake.
TRIPLE BANNER PUNCH: Oh I love that now I can punch a banner out perfect each and every time! This punch is awesome and with a little 'bandaid of paper' holding the stripes of Wild Wasabi and DSP together (each stripe is 1" each) I was able to easily insert this 2" stripe into the punch and get a perfect banner cut!

I wanted a little more dimension to my card so I popped up Foxie's head on a dimensional (foam dot). To colour him I used Tangerine Tango ink and a blender pen, I might need to work on my blending, its got a rustic look!

WORK OF ART stamp set - An Oldie but definately still a favourite!
Grassland and Clouds: I stamped the curved rainbow looking stamp for the grass here in Wild Wasabi and filled in the 'white patches' with wasabi ink and my blender pen. I wanted Foxie to be the focal point so I used soft 'soft sky' to do just that, give me a soft sky!
Pin this swatch to your Colours board on Pinterest!

Tin of Cards Project Kit

Yay my BBB arrived and thankfully before our long weekend too!! So I have been busy crafting and exploring all the possibilities with lots of new products. Todays project has been made with a TRULY AWESOME project kit - Tin of Cards!
Here is what's included in the kit... lots and lots - enough materials to make 16 cards!

Here's the fabulous TIN- in Mint Macaron - yummy! I've decorated one of the dividers.  See the best thing about this kit is that even if you gave away all the cards you've made with it, the tin is still there as your very own card organiser. Great idea.

Here are the cards I made..

I will be running a class in July with this project kit - so watch this space!! If you can't wait until then order your now - click here.
