Confetti Rose CASE'ing Connie Collins #GDP020

This week over at the Global Design Project with challenge #GDP020 we are CASE'ing the super talented and gorgeous Connie Collins!!!!! Here is here card.

Here is my interpreted creation. I was inspired by lots of things on Connie's card. I love the strippy background which I replicard with DSP from 'Birthday Bouquet' pg 9 Occasions catalogue.
I also really liked the centre focal piece. I cut a rose from black cardstock and gently glued to to some of the confetti designed paper from the same 'Birthday Bouquet' DSP then carefully cut around the outside edge with my paper snips. The 'Thank You' is from 'Rose Wonder' the matching stamp set to the Rose Garden Dies - see below in the Supplies list for the Bundle information.
I'm in love with it! Now I have a good use for all those confetti-like DSP's.
How can it be so subtle yet POP off the page at the same time??
I couldn't resist adding some Goldy glitz to my card too - so I stuck some sequins from the 'Metallic Assortment' pack to resemble those cute little hearts from Connie's card.
Try making this card! Here are the measurements for you:
  • Aussie C6 card base in Whisper White Thick cardstock
  • Basic Black Frame 3-3/4" x 5-1/2"
  • Birthday Bouquet DSP Panel 3-5/8" x 5-3/8"
Be inspired with this colour combination, feel free to share and pin it!

  3. Beautiful simplicity. I love how you've used that confetti paper - I've had a hard time finding a place for it, too. Great card! Thank you so much for playing along with this week's Case the Designer (Connie Collins) Challenge at Global Design Project.
