Picture Perfect Paper #loveitchopit

These quick cards were so easy to make...once I got over my 'issue' with cutting up pretty paper! The best way to showcase any of the Stampin' Up papers is to make projects with them. I created a set of birthday cards with just a few supplies, paper, cardstock, one stamp set & some retiring embellishments.
The paper is so pretty on it's own you really don't need anything else to go with it!
I added some acrylic embellishments (heart, star & flower) and a pretty greeting embossed in gold.
Here are the others - some have tassels others have some tinsel thread or sequin trim.
Go on, be brace and cut up all that pretty p

Beautiful Day - Butterfly Watercoloured with Brusho™ Crystal Colour

I recently ran a Brusho class and I'm so happy I did. My students had a ball learning how to use Brushos. It is definately a product that you get better at using as you practice. It easy to get carried away and add lots of crystals. I prefer a lighter, softer washed out look - this is hard to achieve with such a heavy hand as mine.

Happy Birthday with Brusho™ Crystal Colour

Today I'm sharing a verrrrry simple card but if I'm honest I had my best artist hat on while making it! I was playing wth Brusho's and I got a little carried away - adding more & more colour crystals until it was a big dark patch. I really like the intensity that you can achieve by adding more colour, but I think I went too far. So to 'fix' it, I diecut this big Happy Birthday from it and I love it. Some simple DSP & embellishments for the background and I was done.

Can you see the variances in colour?
Here's part of my initial 'artist' work (left) using the Yellow & Blue crystals, this would look great as an ocean background too.
Add a piece of Adhesive Sheet to create a sticker - it makes intricate Die cutting easier to stick

World Autism Awareness Day - International Blog Hop

Welcome to World Autism Awareness Day 2018!!! Today we have a special Blog Hop for you. We have loads of demonstrators from around the world sharing their wonderful Autism inspired creations with you.  So many of us have been impacted by someone we know who has Autism. Like many things it takes 'speaking up' to bring to people's fore thoughts -so that's our mission today. If you would like to donate to the cause you can do so HERE.
The full line up below will help you through everyone's projects - I usually say 'grab a cuppa' but today you'll need the whole pot!!

I have chosen to recreate a heart with the Autism colours which came out so much better than I had imagined!

Here was my inspiration - picture courtesy of google images

You'll need a few 3/4" strips of cardstock, Weave them together and hold together with some tape& an adhesive sheet on the back. Next trim it down and glue all the ends down, then die cut.
I love the heart shape - makes me feel warm inside!

Bird Banter #wwys161

Welcome to another week of What Will You Stamp? To participate in this week's challenge and to see all the great projects from the Design team using this set be sure to visit the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog. This week we were challenged to use the Bird Banter Stamp set.
I have created a birthday card with the large parrot. What I love most about this set is that all the images are outlines, which makes it perfect for colouring!

I cut up the sentiment and arranged the words around the parrot as it was too big to place at his feet as a solid piece. The background DSP is from the Tutti-Frutti suite, the 'reverse' sides are great for Layering backgrounds. If you like the colour combination, please share it on your favourite Pinterest board!
