Onstage Make & Takes

I loved making these projects at Onstage this past weekend. These were quick and easy and I know that you’ll love them too.
The first project was this pretty card using the Forever Lovely Bundle. This set has many lovely sentiments for Valentines Day but as you know with SU products there is also a vast versatility in their sets. I enjoyed the 2 step stamping too, first the flowers in stamped off in Berry Burst then the leaves in Soft Sea Foam. As I do with all my Onstage projects I make them my own and change the layouts of them. I wanted to show off the pretty scalloped ribbon most so that’s near the forefront and those cute die cut leaves - adorable!

I’m loving this colour combination!
Next we have this bright and funky Scandinavian inspired bundle Bloom by Bloom. I actually didn’t like the stamps at first but after having a play with them, they stamp beautifully and the colours we used really highlight the beauty of this set - simple stamping! The card bases are from a new Memories & More pack of card bases & envelopes in this gorgeous deep Night of Navy. I love that the envelopes (not pictured) are decorated on the inside. I cut my DSP in half on the diagonal and arranged them so you can see the 2 sides,
Let’s turn up the brightness, full on strong and bold colours here.

I’m loving this Needle & Thread Bundle. We know Stampin’ Up, are celebrating their 30th anniversary and this bundle definitely felt like we had time travelled 30 years to a time when Needlepoint was all the rage. Maybe it’s making a comeback? Well it’s getting a tick in my books. The 2 main things I loved most about this bundle was the DSP & the embossed die. The DSP - photographic on one side and patterned on the other.  The photographic side shows off some lovely embroidery of flowers and foliage and the reverse side -which again I couldn’t resist and just had to show both sides +0+0- the reverse. Side is the pretty Highland Heather and some stitching patterns. Can you see the pretty motif on the front. It’s not stamped, it’s embossed, I printed if you like with a die from the bundle. Love it!

A very pretty palette - very pink!

Lastly we have a cute 3D Pizza Box with Geared Up Garage. Yes! Thank you SU for hearing our cries of wanting more male inspired sets. This one is just fab it covers the older gentleman right down to the young ones with the imagery and assortment of dies and patterned DSP. I ordered this bundle straightaway on my PPP order. I love that the die set has lots of label sized pieces. I feel in love right away with the DSP, the colours and patterns are so awesome - I’m definitely going to get GREAT mileage from this bundle.
Love this combination! I’ll be storing this one to favourites for future male reference.

Me with my preorder - I’m a tad excited!

Flamingo or Cactus? My Onstage Candle Swaps

Swaps are always a fun part of any Stampin' Up! event. I was lucky enough to spot these cute tea light candles at Kmart on one of my late night shops. My local store is open 24 hrs, so I sometimes go after work which is usually around 9pm. It's surprising how busy it is at that time!
These cuties were a hit and after making nearly 100 I don't ever want to see a cactus or flamingo again! Lol. Just kidding. The little box holder was very easy to make and I was able to make 5 from a sheet of A4 (pic below). I added some retired washi to the tin case - a great way to use up some of that hoarded washi! As I had to fly to Sydney, I took everything ready cut & scored, this was a great idea as they would have got damaged on the way. Over a glass of bubbles I convinced my room mates to help me assemble them in the hotel room. It's always more fun to craft together.

Which are you? FLAMINGO or CACTUS?

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed seeing my Swaps please take a few moments to leave me a comment I'd love to hear what you think.

I was a Sydney Onstage Display Stamper - Part 1 - Sharing my Scrapbook Pages

I was so excited to be asked to stamp for Onstage as a Display Board Stamper! My work, alongside a few other demonstrators are the first creations to be seen using NEW not yet released products. Today I'm sharing my scrap book pages. I don't claim to be a memory keeping expert but I think I did a good job to showcase the new products. I will be sharing all my projects over the coming couple of weeks so stay tuned for those posts.

Thanks to Heidi Bell for this photo of my display!
Below is my first page of my son Marco. The journaling talks about how he's always trying to grab the camera, so I made a camera with the Swirly Frames stamp set. This stamp set is more than just lines on a page. The colours in my photos are enhanced with the reverse side of the Garden Impressions DSP, blues & greens always work well together.

Here's a closer look at the camera.
Add a few layers for a realistic feel. How uncanny that it looks a lot like Sue's camera!

Hopefully I have made you think twice about this stamp set.

My second page is a throw back to 1988. 30 years ago sounds like so long ago! I thought it fitting to celebrate something from 30 yrs, as Stampin' Up! are also celebrating 30 yrs. The bottom photo is of my cousin Ricky & I in NZ as kids. I don't know why I'm holding the fish (fush), my cousin caught it, and clearly from the look on his face he's not impressed. It's been a bone of contention all this time!
This cut out is from a Memories & More pack.
I'm sorry Ricky! It's official now - the fish prize is all yours.
If you like my colour combinations, please share them on your favourite Pinterest board!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed seeing my Memory projects please take a few moments to leave me a comment I'd love to hear what you think.

Onstage Gifts and our Make n Takes

One of the best parts of Onstage are the beautiful gifts we receive. These exclusive gifts make you feel so special, knowing that you are among only a few people that has them. The gifts are always something new and different so you don't want to miss out on going if you get the chance. Read to the end to see our make n takes using some of the products we received. As you will  see I have a few things to share with you, so I photographed everything - that took ages but it is SO worth sharing it all. Ready?!
We discovered during a Sara (CEO) and Shelli presentation that barefoot stamping is 'a thing'! So I have taken a picture of me getting ready for barefoot photography.
First of all - the BAG!! The bag of all Stampin' Up! Bags. This gorgeous shoulder bag is so lovely, it's a great size and is reversible too.

A new notebook. I love the ombré colouring and the dots are like silver embossing. There were other colours too including pink & greens.

The light box - this is so cute and the size is just perfect to fit on your desk.
Stamps - of course we got stamps. Included in the picture are 3 sets that I got for being a Display Stamper for the event! Keep an eye out over the coming days for my posts on the projects I created with Swirly Frames, Artisan Textures & Detailed in Love.

Ribbons - oooh new colours and textures are coming.
A few more that we shared from our make n take box.
It is so great to be able to get our hands on some of these goodies even if it's just a handful.
How gorgeous is this Vellum!? Looks just like the name suggests right, like Stain glass.
The first of our Make n takes. Ignore the bright yellow for a moment - I got totally carried away with colouring but there were only 2 blends on the table. Can you see this lovely PINK cardstock - it's a new INCOLOUR called Lovely Lipstick.
Next up is one I shared in my Sunday blog post - featuring the Rooted in Nature Suite. I love this set!
To get longer leaves simply cut in half & adhere with a gap, cover the gap with a sentiment.
This is a beautiful suite - which you will be able to order a month before it's released in the catalogue- mark in May 1st to your diaries!!
Share What You Love Suite
If you love water colouring but are too impatient with it, these new pre-coloured cards are for you! This one has a sheet of the new laser cut DSP over the top, it's devine and lends itself to so many possibilities.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed seeing my project please take a few moments to leave me a comment I'd love to hear what you think.
