Autumn Watercolor Wings #CI10

Watercolor Wings is such a great set & I'm so happy that it has made it to the new catalogue too. Which by the way have you seen the new catalogue yet? There are so many fabulous new products I feel like I just want them all. You can view them online here. I made this card after seeing a gorgeous card by Louise Sharp, I couldn't wait to give the 'reversed popout' a go myself!  

I've kept it simple. It's easy! After cutting out & adhereing the stitched circle directly to the card base, add dimensionals to the outer panel & stick to the cardbase to get that reversed popout look. To get the different shades of colour on the butterflies I stamped the inner wing details in full strength, the outer wings stamped off once & the full Wings image stamped off twice

Dipped Vintage Leaves #CI04 #GDP076

Vintage Leaves is definately one of those perfect/must have stamp sets that lends itself to all kinds of stamping techniques. I have seen it used in all shades of colour and each time it looks just as impressive as the last. I love the fine details in each leaf.

I was attempting to 'rock n roll' these leaves in Elegant Eggplant ink but it ended up looking more like a dipped leaf instead - a bit like those trendy gold dipped feathers.

 

I created a cool edge to this card using the Best Badges Punch & the Acorns Builder Punch.

I was inspired by 2 of my favourite challenges Colour INKspiration team on FB with this awesome colour pallete and the Global Design Project with challenge #GDP076

Window Shopping with Colour INKspiraton #CI03

I was really excited to use this die again after my Valentines Day card turned out so pretty. This time it is a softer palette of colours and I am loving these quick and simple style cards at the moment. I am usually rushed off my feet all day, but I do like to make some time in my day to sit down, relax and get creative. Some days that may only be 10 mins and I feel its good for my mind and body to loose myself in my creativeness - hence a quick and simple card does the trick!

I started off by die cutting a whisper white panel with this beautiful floral pattern from the new  'Window Shopping' bundle. I lay a strip of Marina Mist, Peekaboo Peach and Soft Suede cardstock behind and added some cute Enamel dots in the matching colours including Soft Sky. This bundle also has a cool 'banner creator' die. No matter the length of your sentiment you willl be able to easily create a folded banner too. Here's a close up...
