Embrace Beautiful Gallery for July's Lets Craft Together Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Let's Craft Together Blog Hop! This months theme is RUSTIC themed.

I have created a scrappy card with strips from the DSP pack Beautiful Gallery. You could say I couldn't just pick one sheet to work with as they are ALL beautiful and rustic!

Here's the challenge picture
Lets take a closer look at this card.

I really love how the strips, although being very different still do compliment each other so well when laid out together. These strips were the 'leftovers' from a series of cards I was making - see below for the unfinished culprit cards.
The sentiment and arch dies are from this stamp/bundle - Everyday Arches
The sentiment is stamped in the new InColour Secret Sea, on Cloud Cover cardstock.
Heres the set of cards that left me with quite a few strips!
I really couldn't bring myself to cover the front with anything... the paper really does sing on its own!
Which is your favourite?
This cards design is always fun and a great way to make use of what may otherwise end up in the bin.

Silver and Gold BLING IT UP for June's Lets Craft Together Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Let's Craft Together Blog Hop! I have been MIA lately. Its been a busier than expected 2025, but I'm back now and ready to get crafty again. This months theme is BLING IT UP! Looking around my stash - which is pretty thin and empty at the moment, I struggled to think of what I would create to represent this theme.

I have created this Silver and Gold Floating Strip card, let me show you how to make it.

If you look closely you'll see both silver and gold foil sheet strips which are cut at 1/4" and 3/4" in width. The wider strips I dry embossed with the WAVES 3d emboss folder.
How great does the embossed parts look?
Your project will start here - laying out all the strips, adhere the thin ones so you can emboss the others and easily slide the back into place.
Cut off any excess.
To make it 'float' - add foam dimensionals on the thicker strips and adhere directly to your white card base.
I'm loving the embossed effect, it really pops!
Some simple stamping on the inside and a gold embossed leaf to match the front
This stamp set was easy to use, easy to fussy cut and great for embossing in Silver and Gold too.

Birdhouse Easel Card

Today I'm sharing this beautiful Birdhouse Easel card using some bold cardstock and the large dies from the Country Birdhouse Bundle. I've gone with Cherry Cobbler, Bubble Bath, Old Olive and Basic Black.

Lets take a closer look at this card. I really loved layering all the die cut pieces to create an interesting and detailed birdhouse.
Creating a Simple Easel card is easy
* Cut your card base lengthways 10.5cm x30.5cm
* Score along the long edge at 14.9cm and 4cm
* Attach a piece of card stock that extends past the 4cm fold
Dont forget the inside - I added a cute little bird and raised it with a foam dimensional to add as a stopper for the easel flap.

Strength with Inspiring Snapdragons

Today's card is all about showing off these beautiful Snapdragons! I was eager to make these blossom with some rich purples and opted for Berry Burst, paired with Bubble Bath and Pecan Pie.

Lets take a closer look at this card. I used some DSP for he background panel (Bright & Beautiful) & die cut the snap dragons in Berry Burst (solid image) and Pecan Pie (outline).
The middle panel - which looks like it could be Very Vanilla is actually Basic White. Look closely, can you see a pattern?
From scrap cardstock I die cut some outline snapdragons and used them as masks to blend the background in Pecan Pie. I think it looks so interesting and effective.
We musnt forget the inside panel also needs some loving.
This bundle is on the Last Chance list - search 'Snapdragon' for an awesome bargain.

Adventurous Sky Planes with Shy Shamrock

Today I'm sharing a cool plane card I made for a friends birthday. They love planes and the colour green so I went with that as my starting point!

The first layers to prepare is the Shy Shamrock card base (1/2 A4, scored at 10.5cm)
Next is the 3D Dotted Circles embossed background panel (10cm x14.5cm)

You'll also need x3 strips of DSP (2.5cm x 12.5cm each)
I cut my DSP strips from Take to the Sky (Adventurous Sky Suite) and I added some subtle colour with a a blending brush, as the paper is originally a soft grey. Always remember to slowly build the colour when blending, previous referred to as daubing or sponging, you can always add more colour but you cant remove it.
To my DSP strips I also gold embossed the rivet panel stamp image to the edges, again another subtle element.

The final steps are to create a frame for the plane to sit in front of
Shy Shamrock cardstock (7cm x 9.5cm) & Basic white also embossed with Dotted Circles (6.5cm x 9cm)
Stamp your aeroplane from Adventurous Sky onto Basic White in Shy Shamrock ink and gently 'drag'n the colour into the white spaces using a Blender pen.
I never forget the inside,  even if its just adding a couple of stamped images to carry the them thru.
