I was in a very happy mood the day I created this card. It doesn't take a music buff to recognise the message on my card.. and if you don't where have you been? The very famous Beetles song "Yellow Submarine" inspired this theme.
How cute is this Submarine? I have drawn some extra lines with a Stampin Write marker and I glazed the windows with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.  The verse is stamped with the new Brushwork Alphabet set. I love it! Be sure to cut your strips quite precisely - see below for all the measurements.
My inspiration...apologies in advance - you'll probably have this song stuck in your head all day!
Try making this card! Here are the measurements:
  • Aussie C6 card base in Daffodil Delight cardstock - (A5 in hlaf)
  • Real Red Frame 3-7/8" x 5-5/8"
  • (x5) Blue & White Panels cut just inside the line 3/4" x 5-1/2"
Be inspired with this colour combination, feel free to share and pin it!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed seeing my project please leave me a comment I'd love to hear what you think! Now, get stamping and submit your project over at WWYS#72

Follow Your Heart in a Retro Caravan

Welcome back for another project! Our Crazy Crafters are being highlighted over at our wonderful Mentor's blog - thank you so much Kylie Bertucci you are the best! I'd love for you to vote for my project - you have 3 votes use them wisely!! Click here to submit your vote
Oh how cute this card turned out! After looking at potential caravans online with my folks the other day I was left very inspired to create this card. I think a retro caravan is about all I could afford right now! Wow there are some beauties out there. I love the vibrancy of this card with that gorgeous 'Affectionately Yours' DSP. Watermelon wonder is wonderful!
I stamped the caravan image from 'You're Sublime' in Night of Navy ink and carefully cut it out.
I drew some lines with my Night of Navy marker and coloured them in with Pumpkin Pie/Sahara Sand/Crushed Curry and Watermelon Wonder markers to make this 1970's Retro cutie.
I trimmed the white piece (sentiment) using the Duet Banner punch - reinsert the banner and punch it out a little smaller .

Try making this card! Here are the measurements for you:
  • Aussie C6 card base in Crumb Cake cardstock
  • Affectionately Yours DSP Panel 3-7/8" x 5-5/8"
  • Mint Macaron DSP Strips 1/4" x 3-7/8"
Be inspired with this colour combination, feel free to share and pin it!

Never Stop Exploring for #GDP012 - Casing Brian King

I'm so pleased with how my card turned out - it's exactly as I imagined it in my head and that rarely happens so seamlessly! I was inspired by this weeks challenge over at the Global Design Project with challenge #GDP012.  This week we were asked to CASE a card by none other than the amazingly talented Brian King! He's so awesome! Here is his card.
http://www.global-design-project.com/2015/11/global-design-project-gdp012.html
When you click on over to the Global Design Project you'll probably think I've made the wrong card for this challenge. I almost did! I think mine might be the only non-christmas card - however this is the beauty of CASE'ing a card.  You can choose anything you like about the card to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit). Here is my card which you could call an 'Encouragement' card.

I was inspired by 3 things - the sloping background, 2 penguins (or images) and its a Square card.
Check out my 'ruffle' made just with a long strip of Cotton Paper - pg 148 Annual Catalogue.
Here are the card measurements so you too can create this card:
  • Square card base in Soft Sky Cardstock  4-7/8" x 4-7/8"
  • Whisper White Frame 4-1/2" x 4-1/2"
  • So Saffron Panel - Coming soon FREE! Saleabration DSP! cut to 4-3/8" x 4-3/8"
  • Turquoise SWIRL panel - Panel - Earn it FREE Saleabration DSP! cut to 2-1/2" x 4-3/8"
Get inspired with this colour swatch, feel free to share and pin it!
