Celebrate Pride - A Bright & Colourful Card

 

After an overwhelming response and seas of rainbows covering everyone's facebook pictures I made this cute card last night. I'm a believer in 'love'. I believe love conquers all. So to hear that the seed of equal rights for the LGBT communities could now spread around the world is just amazing!

Good on ya USA! Here is my card.

Candy dots are the perfect colourful embellishment for this card!

They are Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi,

Tempting Turquoise & Elegant Eggplant

Cardbase: A4 sheet of 'Thick Whisper White' cut lengthways and scored at 14.8cm (5-7/8")

Black Panel: 13.6cm x 9.2cm (5-3/8" x 3-5/8")

Strips of colour: 2.2cm x 8.9cm (7/8" x 3-1/2")

Pals Paper Arts Challenge #PPA256 - Schoolhouse Banner Card

I've really enjoyed the creating with the help of these awesome challenge sites and I have joined another very popular one - Pals Paper Arts. So here is my first entry to their Challenge PPA256.
I was inspired by 2 people today -The my very fabulous and amazing upline Kylie Bertucci and the equally amazing Mary Fish! Check our their entries here.  Their choice of colours and Mary's dinosaur was a great touch! Thank you Ladies - I love your creations!

Here is my creation - clean and simple this time round.

How beautiful are these wooden laser cut greetings? I'm really hoping to see more of these by Stampin' Up! (hint hint SU office)

Just a small touch, love these cute bikes that are printed in the Schoolhouse DSP pack.  A bit fussy cutting always relaxes me, so this just had go on aswell.
You'll notice the very subtle background 'adventurebound' which comes from the Project Life Remember This Stamp Set - the white background just looked a little naked all on its own!

Mojo Monday Challenge #401 - Farmers Market Card

I had so much fun last week that I'm back for another Mojo Monday sketch. I just received my BBB earlier this week with new catalogue goodies - yay! and the DSP I was most looking forward to receiving was 'Farmers Market'. I love all the earthy tones, plus I grow lots of my own veges too.
I really love what I have created even though there is NO stamping! What!? I'm so sorry! It wasn't until I had finished the card that I realised I hadn't stamped anything!

I really enjoy how easily a card comes together when you have a sketch to guide you. If you haven't participated in any challenges before, just give it a try and Mojo Monday is definately the most popular one around!
Here's my card. I used the new Expressions Natural Elements - (wooden laser cut words) these are great value and the font is really lovely too! I cut another pear out of the DSP and popped it up on dimensionals, I felt there was something missing.... so I added some Crystal Effects - forgotten how much I really love that shiny look, so I'll be using lots more in my projects.

I carried the theme on the inside too..
