Crazy Crafters February Blog Hop - Casing Patty Bennett using Watercolor Wings

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog for February. This month we are excited to be CASE'ing Patty Bennett but even better we get to hop along with PATTY BENNETT herself! Woo Hoo!
We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. The full blog lineup below will help you move along to see all the projects. This is a blog hop you will not want to miss out on!

My project inspiration came from Patty's FAMOUS Watercolor Wings Card Collection & Pinterest.

Today I have created a Butterfly Bouquet! I know Patty loves Butterflies. I was inspired by the colour combinations that Patty used above. You could use any combination of colours to create your own unique butterflies. I have attached the butterflies to Floral Wire (Spotlight) adhering them with Dimensionals in between each layer. I then bent the wires around to make it look like the butteflies are flying around. I added a touch of grass with strips of green cardstock.
How many butterflies do you think I cut out? Read on for answer.

Butterfly WOW Card

How exciting this week our Crazy Crafters are being highlighted over at our wonderful Mentor's blog Thank you so much Kylie Bertucci you are the best!
I have been working on this card for at least 2 mths! Not that it was difficult to make, but I started out with stamping the background panel and then I hit a 'crafters road block' - I wasn't sure how to finish it! So there its been, sitting in my "to be finished' box of cards.. until this week!

I'm toally in love with this card. I love all the hundred layers and the simplicity of the colours yet the complexity of the design. See below for all the measurements and supplies.
Its been ages since I finished the inside to match the outside.. Looks lovely with the DSP framing the inside don't you think?

Try making this card! Here are the measurements for you:
  • Square card base in Blackberry Bliss cardstock 4-3/4" x 4-3/4"
  • Mossy Meadow Stripy DSP Frame 4-1/4" x 4-1/4"
  • Blackberry Bliss Frame 3-3/4" x 3-3/4"
  • Whisper White Panel (stamped) 3-5/8" x 3-5/8"
  • Mossy Meadow Strip 1" x 3-3/4"
  • Inside: Mossy Meadow Stripy DSP Frame 4-1/4" x 4-1/4"
  • Inside: Whisper White Panel (stamped) 4" x 4"

Be inspired with this colour combination, feel free to share and pin it!

Regarding Dahlias Butterfly Cards - Feb Trading Cards

Hi Everyone

Today's cards are from our February trading card swap. I had the pleasure of hosting this month which meant I got to choose the theme and coordinate the swaps back to everyone.
I love flicking through the junk mail catalogues and I usually get home decor inspiration from the beautifully decorated rooms on show. This is where I found the inspiration for the 'Blues, Greens, Yellows & Golds Colour Challenge',thanks Bed, Bath n Table!
Such a lovely fresh look. I love those pineapples, they are so in right now.
I'm so happy, my finished card fronts turned out exactly as I imagined. I used my Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set to soften the background in Soft Sky. Then I also used it to highlight the colours of the challenge in the banner cut out. I also got to use the new Butterfly Thinlets. Wow these are so lovely. Even with all the intricate details, they come out great every time.

Here are sme of the other cards that were part of the swap, so Beautiful. Well done ladies you all did an incredible job, I wish my frame was bigger to be able to display everyones!
