Flurry of Wishes - A Flip Corner card

"Flurry of Wishes" is one of my favourite bundles from this Holiday Catalogue. It was a really popular set. It's not too late in case you would still like to order it. I created this card for a recent swap, I made a few! I love the interesting and easy Corner Flip technique that I learnt from Dawn Olchefske.
I've always loved purple tones at Christmas - in this example it helps to make the card feel warm. Now the snowflakes are just too cute, especially when they can be cut so quickly with the matching punch. I've also used my Wisteria Wonder Stampin' Write marker a couple times here. Once for colouring in the background Snowflake and the other to give the sentiment a bit of pizzazz!

Here are the card measurements so you too can create this card:
  • Watch Dawn's video from the link above to learn more about the Flip Corner. 3" mark.
  • Standard Australian C6 card base in Elegant Eggplant Cardstock (half A4 sheet)
  • Smoky Slate Frame 2-7/8" square
  • Perfect Plum Frame 2-3/4" sqauare
  • Whisper White Panel 2-1/2" square
  • Whisper White Banner 1" wide
Get inspired with this colour swatch, feel free to share and pin it!

Regarding Dahlias Butterfly Cards - Feb Trading Cards

Hi Everyone

Today's cards are from our February trading card swap. I had the pleasure of hosting this month which meant I got to choose the theme and coordinate the swaps back to everyone.
I love flicking through the junk mail catalogues and I usually get home decor inspiration from the beautifully decorated rooms on show. This is where I found the inspiration for the 'Blues, Greens, Yellows & Golds Colour Challenge',thanks Bed, Bath n Table!
Such a lovely fresh look. I love those pineapples, they are so in right now.
I'm so happy, my finished card fronts turned out exactly as I imagined. I used my Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set to soften the background in Soft Sky. Then I also used it to highlight the colours of the challenge in the banner cut out. I also got to use the new Butterfly Thinlets. Wow these are so lovely. Even with all the intricate details, they come out great every time.

Here are sme of the other cards that were part of the swap, so Beautiful. Well done ladies you all did an incredible job, I wish my frame was bigger to be able to display everyones!

Crazy Crafters November RAK Christmas Card

Hi Everyone

Merry Christmas! I made this card for my Crazy Crafters November RAK recipient Deb Krupa.

Of all the wonderful products that Stampin' Up! offers I'm definately a 'Framelits' collector. I just have to have them all! The best part of this style of card is you could be make this with any of the Framelits. Its also a perfect way to use up scrap pieces of paper, ribbon or washi tape.

Crazy Crafters October RAK Card

Hi Everyone

At some point there comes a time when we all need a shoulder to lean on. I love being in the Crazy Crafters Team, we may not see each other all the time, others we've never even met but there is an unspoken comradery - we are united and look after one another.
Here's a quick card I recently sent out to a crafty friend who needed some cheering up.

Crazy Crafters September Swap Card

Hi Everyone

I'm super late in posting this picture!!!
My September Crazy Crafter Swap card went out to Deb Raymer. Hey Deb!
I have used the very simple flower stamp set "Too Kind" to create this card. My favourite part on this card is actually the grass. I created the grassy bottom with the smallest of the flower stamps, using the new incolour Mossy Meadow just stamp and stamp without reinking inbetween.

Crazy Crafters RAK August Swap Card

Hi Everyone

Welcome back for another Crazy Crafters RAK Swap card. I chat to the wonderfully creative Crazy Crafters almost everyday thanks to Facebook - and I'm thrilled to be able to create and send them something made by me.

My August recipient was Jess. I was inspired by my last card post 'Boys will be Boys - Robot card" to create this card, it's not quite my usual style but I like how it came together...
