I'm really excited to announce that over at Splitcoast Stampers, I have been chosen to join the lovely 'Creative Crew Design Team' for September 2015 to December 2015!!

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=20742
This months challenges are all about the New Holiday Catalogue which launched today!
To start with I have created a set of beautiful and simple cards that you can create quickly and gift away as a set. My favourite DSP in the new catalogue is 'Wonderland' and this is a great way to use those beautiful patterns. This DSP is a lightweight paper and feels so silky soft - how pretty is the Gold & Black!?
Cute embellishments that are just enough of a touch to not distract from the beautiful DSP.
The Ponsietta is cut from Black Glimmer Paper with the Embellished Ornaments Framelit set
Here are the card measurements so you too can create these cards:
  • Whisper White Notecard card bases
  • Basic Black Frame - 3-1/4" x 4-3/4"
  • DSP Panel - 3-1/8" x 4-5/8"
  • Whisper White Banner - 1-1/4" wide
  • Basic Black Banner - 1/2" x 3" wide
Stampin' Up! Supplies - I will update this link very soon! So in the mean time here the colours found in this DSP - I'd love to see your Gold and Black creations - please share them!

An Open Heart - Single layer stamping

I usually enjoy adding lots of layers to my projects but today's cards are exactly what you need when you need some in a hurry or only have 5mins to create in!

I grabbed only a handful of items to make these cards. Using just one stamp set  - 'An Open Heart, x2 ink pads andlittle piece of seam binding ribbon and notecards!
You can create a simple background with just one stamp! Here's how...
I inked up the 'stem' image and stamped it once onto my notecard, then without reinking the stamp, I stamped it again off to one side.
Here are the colours I've used

Work of Art Thank You Notecards

Hi Everyone

These cool Thank You notecards recently went out to my August customers. I usually go for stamp sets with ready to go images, flowers and larger images are my favourites. After sifting through the catalogue for the first few times I had no intention of buying this set, shh don't tell SU - I know shock horror!  I honestly thought what am I going to make with these paint brush stroked images?? Thankfully I am addicted to Pinterest and found some really great tutorials. Special mentions to Deb Valder in the USA.

These notecards measure 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" so quick and easy and you can get 3 from 1 sheet of A4 cardstock!

Carolina's Tips & Techniques:
These flowers are easily made by...
1) ink up your stamp
2) stamp down once, this makes petal number 1
3) without reinking, stamp the next petal and carry on all the way around
