The Spotlight is on Leaf Collection and ME for Chain Card Swap!

Welcome to the Chain Card Swap Blog Hop! This hop is all about me and the CASES of my card. I encourage you to start here and follow along to see the progression of my card through the group. Its so interesting to see the development!

Round 9 is all about my card! I have created a bright and colourful InColour card highlighting the Leaf Collection stamp set with the Spotlight technique. I've used some of my favourite products from the Annual catalogue.
This card was created as part of a chain for our Aussie online card group ..
Lets take a closer look at this card.
The Spotlight technique is easy and gives any image an interesting twist. Simply stamp your image onto your cardbase and on another sheet stamp the images again in different colours and cut out with a die or punch. Layer it over the base matching the shape to the background, adding dimensional foam dots helps to elevate the spotlight look.  Have you tried this technique before?
Some of my favourite items are:
* Leaf Collection Background stamp (163610)
* InColor Cardstock (163804)
* Deckled Circle Dies (162286)
* Wanted to Say Dies (161594)

Cheerful Daisies with a POP of InColour - Chain Card Swap for Ros

Welcome to the Chain Card Swap Blog Hop! This hop is all about Ros and the CASES of her card. I encourage you to start the blog hop at Ros's blog and follow along to see the progression of her card through the group. Its so interesting to see the development!

I was 10th in the chain for Round 5 and have created a very textured card using a new 3D embossing folder along with some new InColours! Welcome Petunia POP and welcome back Pretty in Pink.

Here's is the card I CASE'd from Genna - I immediatey loved this card - from its rich colour combination to the gorgeous textured panels. I CASE'd 3 main elements - the embossing, the layout and 3 of the colours, just in different ratio.
Lets take a closer look at this card.
Lets start with the Embossed panels - how gorgeous is this 3D emboss folder? Its Dashing Designs and I'm loving the details, plus it gives off 'quilted blanket' for sure.
Next, the die cuts - you can't go wrong with a floral arrangment, doesnt matter how you layer them, its gonna look so cool!
Lastly COLOUR - Petunia Pop you are totally my jam. I'm loving all kinds of purply shades and his colour is delicious. It pairs so well with other colours. This years InColour welcomes back an old colour Pretty in Pink. SU have never done this before (retire a family colour and then bring it back) - its a welcomed comeback for the next 2 years.
The inside carries the theme thru with an embossed strip and flower die cut.
If you don't already have Cheerful Daisies - grab it and the die set too!

Lets go Rustic Style for May with Lets Craft Together

Welcome back to another Let's Craft Together Blog Hop! This months theme is Rustic, I was super excited for this month, I think its such a cool theme.

I have created a rustic pile of 'painted wood' ready for any DIY'er to create something super cool.
For todays sentiment I double stanped in 2 colours the 'HappyBirthday' from Sweetly Scripted.
Remember the challenge was RUSTIC

Lets take a closer look at this card. Here I had already 'treated' my wood panels to some shading around the edges with Crumb Cake ink and a small blending brush. The next steps was the fun part, I wanted to use the inkpad 'SWIPE' technique to add some white ink, like a white wash of paint.  So I used a small inkspot with a tiny bit of white ink refill.
You can see here more clearly the end result of darking the edges and then lightening the fronts. I think it looks sooo RUSTIC!
My RUSTIC inspiration - I would love this coffee table
Time to finish the card with a sentiment and some tone on tone gems
For the inside I used a few 'offcuts' along the bottom edge.
A darker pallet than I would normally for go and I love the end result.
Be sure to continue on the hop below!

Quilted Blanket Technique with Delightfully Eclectic DSP STACK

Who doesn't love a warm hug from a cozy blanket. Todays card reminds me of just that. I want to share a super cool PAPER technique with you. I showcased this a couple weeks ago in a video, but look at the difference the embossing REALLY makes.  Lets take these 2 Thank You cards that I made using scrap strips from the Delightfully Eclectic DSP Stack (on sale NOW as it will retire soon!)  One has been embossed using Quatrefoil Tile (also retiring!) Embossing folder and the other hasn't.  Which is your favourite?

Love this THANK YOU from Something Fancy - which will be available when the new catalogue begins on May 1st.
So which is your favourite? EMBOSSED or

.... or NOT?
Personally I prefer the technique WITH. Its so easy too! Simply apply your DSP to your card front or label, run it through with an Emboss Folder of your choice and see the quilted, embossed, textured, detailed look appear like magic!
This colour combo reminds me of a cozy baby blanket, warm and cuddly

Enjoy the Rhythm with Drums and Guitars - Chain Card Swap for Nancy

Welcome to the Chain Card Swap Blog Hop! This hop is all about Nancy and the CASES of her card. I encourage you to start the blog hop at Nancy's blog and follow along to see the progression of her card through the group. Its so interesting to see the development!

I was 8th in the chain for Round 9 and have created a music scene with the images from Enjoy the Rhythm.
I used the colours and layout from the card I was sent - see below - as my starting point. I then needed to decide which stamp set I was goijng to use. I needed something with at least 2 main images, and settled on Enjoy the Rhythm.
Here's the card I CASE'd from Tracy  - be sure to see the OG version here
Lets take a closer look at this card.  As you can see I ended up using ALL the imagaes
I always try to carry the theme to the inside - it finishes the card off
Definately a seaside range of colours but you can make it work with any stamp set!
