Let's Party with Balloons #GDP023

 

I generally start lots of projects and only finish a one or two in one sitting. I'm like a new puppy going from shiny thing to shiny thing! I have lots of project ideas and I really need to get better at finishing them off! Todays card is just that, a card I started and then set aside to finish another day and for once it paid off! The theme over at the Global Design Project this week is Balloons, this one is challenge #GDP023.

I'm a big fan of Tempting Turquoise! But I know that there are some stampers that find it hard to use. It is such a fun colour that easily coordinates with other blues when used in the right proportions. My top tip's for using this bold bright colour is to cover it with vellum to soften the colour intensity and use it sparingly, only a touch will do!

Happy Birthday with Balloon Builders

Todays card is yet another example of how versatile and gorgeous this NEW & UPCOMING stamp set really is! 'Balloon Builders' will be available from January 3rd 2016 and I just can't wait. These balloons remind me of those cool metallic Helium balloons you buy for parties. Love these colours.

Jelly Bean's anyone? Balloon Builders Stamp set NEW Ocassions Catalogue 2016 Sneak Peek

I love Jelly Beans!! Don't you? This card is a super fun card made with just one little stamp from the NEW & Coming soon 'Balloon Builders' stamp set. It will be available on January 3rd 2016 from the NEW Ocassions catalogue. I'm so excited to share this card. 

If you've been following my creations for a little while now, you'll know I look at things with a third eye. I'm always trying to expand the uses of my stamp sets and I often challenge myself with "what else does this look like?". Well maybe I was hungry or had low blood sugars because all I could see were JELLY BEANS!

Just Add Ink Challenge #265 - Hey Girl

I have a confession! I could't help but think of a Ryan Gosling when I was making this card as it features the new stamp set 'Hey Girl' which has nothing to do with him at all! However the memes on the internet of him are just too cute to ignore.  
Todays card is inspired by the talented designers over at Just Add Ink #265. I've created a fun girly card with lots of balloons - as this was part of the inspirational picture. I love this new stamp set. Its a photopolymer so lining up all the images was just a breeze!
I did a lot of fussy cutting!! lots! The bow in her hair, the gold balloons, the top and frills in her dress too!

For her hair I used Delightful Dijon and Hello Honey markers and the NEW Lots of Label framelits for the greeting! You'll also see here I layered her dress just for a bit of added dimension.

Celebrate Today with Cherry on Top DSP & Washi Tape

I don't think I've stopped creating since my BBB arrived on Friday and I couldn't be happier! I've created a cute little Birthday gift package using the new Cherry on Top DSP Stack for todays post. This paper stack is full of party like, bright and fun images that just make creating really easy.
I've paired this paper along with Celebrate Today a photopolymer stamp set carried over into the new catalogue and my favourite Bigz dies - the hamburger and fry boxes.

Cherry on Top DSP & Washi Birthday Card - Balloon Framelit Dies & Celebrate Today

I created this simple and fast washi banner with the new (coming soon) Cherry on Top Washi tape set. It consists of 5 nicely coordinated tapes which you can see I've used on the above card and see all 5 below - totally gorgeous!

Oh my favourite die - The Hamburger box is so easy to decorate with a little DSP and Washi banners!

The Fry box makes the best treat box - how cute is that balloon paper?
