Sheer Perfection Vellum DSP meets Best Year Ever DSP

Hi Everyone

I did promise to show you another card I created using some of the NEW Saleabration products! I love this card! Its bold and subtle at the same time. Just like my 'Coastal Kindness' card from the March Blog Hop post I have used the Sheer Perfection Vellum over a sheet of the Best Year Ever DSP - both Saleabration Designer Papers.

How did I create the bottom? Easy, with the Labels Collection Framelits - just run it part way through the Big Shot and you're done!

I coloured the flower from Nature's Perfection Stamp Set ever so slightly with some coordinating blendabilities - I think it looks cute!

I love the way 2 completely different patterns come together to form a unique and pretty look!

Sketched Birthday with Gold Glitz

Hi Everyone

My beautiful niece turned 17! Wow that's so scary!! It made me think back when I was the same age... 10 years or so....hmmm well more like 18 actually! Eeeeek.  At 17, I became an Aunty, I moved countries, held a full drivers licence (NZ) and had dreams of joining the police force. Sooo scary for lots of reasons..but im sure she's thrilled, only one more year until she's "an adult".

I've stamped my own background with stamps from the "Sketched Birthday" set and coloured the cake with Melon Mambo & Wisteria Wonder blendies. How about some sparkle? Yes please. I really like the Dazzling Details (glitter glue) the glue is high quality, its not clumpy and is easy to manoeuvre. Here I've used Gold Glitz.

Big Day Birthday Cards

Hi Everyone

It's official! I really can't resist making a 'blendie' card! This is testament to how much fun it is to colour with Blendabilities. If you haven't yet tried them, now is your chance to earn them for free. Saleabration is still going, and until March 31st for every $90 spend you can earn yourself a free set.

I've gone for a simple design on these cards as I wanted the stamped images and colouring to be the centre piece.  For the background DSP panel, I've saved myself the hassle of working out the angle measurements and just cut rectangles of 3.5"x 5" Once diagonally glued on I've just cut the excess off the edges.  I've used 4 free Saleabration items to make these cards - Big Day Stamp Set, Best Day Ever DSP and the Blendabilities. Get yours quick!

Here are my cards...

Melon Mambo Blended Bloom with Hope Flowers

Hi Everyone

I love the simple yet striking look of this card. My friend who I gave this to, loves loves loves HOT PINK. I keep telling her there's no such colour anymore - its now called Melon Mambo! You know you're a craft addict when you see things in 'SU colours' - you know what I'm talking about!

Earn the MELON MAMBO, DAFFODIL DELIGHT & SMOKY SLATE Blendabilities for FREE during Sale-a-bration! Each $90 order will earn you a free item from the 2015 Saleabration Catalogue - click here to choose your free item.

Can you see the faint grey colouring around the edge of the flower and stems?? This technique I picked up a while ago. At first glance you don't really notice it and thats the point.  What is helps to do is 'lift' the flowers from the page and make them appear 3D when they aren't. Pretty neat trick!

Today and Everyday - Hanging Laterns

Hi Everyone

Todays card is a Thank You card for a work colleague who outdid himself with some project work.  Thank you Aaron!  It seems I just can't resist to make a card with my Blendabilities (I'm totally addicted!) All the new and existing stamp sets have such gorgeous designs that it makes colouring them (blending) so easy. I usually stick to 3 colours max on my cards, but I love the masculine mix of colours here, they work well.  From the picture you can't really tell that this card is actually A5 sized, that there was plenty of room for everyone to say thanks!

Earn the CHERRY COBBLER & DAFFODIL DELIGHT Blendabilities for FREE during Sale-a-bration! Each $90 order will earn you a free item from the 2015 Saleabration Catalogue - click here to choose your free item.

A Happy Thing - The masking technique

Hi Everyone

Here's my first ever Think Ink Sketch Design Challenge card!  Todays sketch was designed by Tina Gillespie from the Think Ink Team, headed up by the lovely Sue Madex.  This free Saleabration Stamp set - A Happy Thing - has already been really popular.  It seems we can't get enough of the lemons!

I have used a very easy masking technique to stamp the lemon again over the top of the other. Simply stamp on a post it note, cut around the imge, lay this over your already stamped image and the cut out acts as a 'mask' so that your image outlines do not cross over anywhere. I love it! So summery and fresh.

A close up of the lemons and my blending.  I love how the leaves came out! Coloured in roughly, with lots of different blendies to create a multi-toned look.
