Happy Birthday with Layered Letters Alphabet

Todays card makes me HAPPY! Maybe its a subliminal message from the very bold HAPPY on the front of the card that does it!? I'm such a fan of the Alphabet stamp sets - such a great way to personalise a message or just have fun with letters.

There is LOTS of stamping in this card.  I've CASE'd it from the Annual Catalogue, see pg 133 using one of my favourite alphabets - Layered Letters Alphabet. I stamped and cut of the letters and raised them all on dimensionals - looks so good! I paired it with Endless Birthday Wishes - the dotty background stamp is in this set. Can you see the cake stamped in the background too??
Check out pg 133 of the Annual Catalogue
Here are the card measurements so you too can create this card:
  • Standard Australian C6 card base in Watermelon Wonder Cardstock (half A4 sheet)
  • Very Vanilla Panel - 2-3/4" x width of card
Get inspired with this colour swatch, feel free to share and pin it!

No Bones About It - Dinosaur Framed Art

Rawr! Yesterday we spent a beautiful day with our boys at Scienceworks' new Dinosaur Exhibition. Shortly upon arriving home I was totally inspired to create something for my boys with my NEW dinosaur stamp set 'No Bones About It'. I wanted to use the greeting in the stamp, but they were a little small for this big frame - so I decided to stamp it out...here is what I came up with!

This one is for Gabriel ...
This one is for Marco...
Of course I had to add in a picture of Marco's favourite toys!

The Tyrannosaurs Exhibition - its amazing!!
Some close ups...

The Very Hungry Caterpillar using Layered Letters Alphabet Stamp set

I'm totally overwhelmed by the response my latest card design has generated. So I wanted to say a BIG thank you to everyone who has commented and shared my card around the various photo sites!
I thought this card really deserves its own post so here in more detail is how I made this Very Hungry Caterpillar card.

Believe it or not I didn't set out to make a caterpillar card! I was inking up and stamping the cool wonky circle from the Layered Letters Alphabet stamp as background for my "Live, Love, Craft" card and as I was overlapping the circles that is when I had that lightbulb moment. {Ding!}
I actually said  "I could make a caterpillar...wait a minute these colours match the Very Hungry Caterpillar!! Oh my!"

So here it is again, my Very Hungry Caterpillar card in the 2015-2017 In Colours.
Cucumber Crush, Mint Macaron & Watermelon Wonder with Tip Top Taupe feet and Delightful Dijon eyes!
The NEW In Colours are just a perfect match for this famous book character!
This is going to be such a popular stamp set!!

Carolina's Tip's and Techniques
I used some of the other letters and characters in the alphabet set to create the extra little pieces on my Hungry Caterpillar - the letter 'V' for the antennae, the exclamation dot '!' for the nose, and the letter 'I' for the legs - here's how...

Thank you so much once again for all your support!!

The Crazy Crafters May Blog Hop - Sneak Peek theme

Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop! This months theme is all about some of the new products that were available on a super special Sneak Peek just for demonstrators.  All the new products go live on June 2nd, so be sure to hop over to my online store so you can see all the amazing new items - this is the best catalogue I've seen in my 5 years with SU.

I have created a few cards today using the Layered Letters Alphabet Photopolymer stamp set.  It has so many uses too. I love how with the clear photopolymer sets you can see what you're inking and stamping - below you'll see a cool tip from me.
I've also joined the latest craze and made a carry bag for my cards - which is in the shape of a handbag! Its really easy - I have adjusted the measurements for Australian C6 cards - I saw the idea from Linda Bauwin - really cool!!

Here are my creations...

For more info on this card - click here

Love this bag!! To make this size bag you will need half a sheet of  dsp (6x12")
x3 - 3/4 x 12" carstock (rims)
x2 - 3/4 x 10" carstock (handles)
x1 - 2 1/2 x 5 1/4"" carstock (base, scored at 1/2" around to make a base)

I used some of the other letters and characters in the alphabet set to create the extra little pieces on my Hungry Caterpillar - the letter 'V' for the antennae, the exclamation dot '!' for the nose, and the letter 'I' for the legs - here's how...
Clear view of what I'm inking makes making other shapes easy!

Please leave me a comment I'd love to hear what you think
Up next we have Sue Wdowik, hop on over to see her beautiful creations.

Happy Mother's Day with Watermelon Wonder and Layered Letters

Happy Mother's Day Ladies! It has been a relaxing morning with breakfast in bed and the most wonderful handmade gifts from my boys - I couldn't ask for anything else!

I have created an easy to make card with some of the very very cool new sneak peak products and you'll also see I've created an envelope too!! This is using the new Envelope Paper - its lightweight and feels silky smooth.  The pack includes all 5 new incolours in 2 patterns - stripes and a zebra stripe pattern. I made an envelope in Watermelon Wonder and used another piece as a liner. I'm loving all these new toys!

To create the card I used some new In Colour cardstock Watermelon Wonder with a hint of Cucumber crush for the frame piece (sounds like a yummy recipe!). I was inspired by the recent saleabration set "Best Day Ever" and created my own greeting with the new Layered Letters Photopolymer set.  Pretty cool right!!

Here is my card...
Best Mum Ever - Mothers Day Card 2015
New Envelope paper - beautiful colours and designs
Gold Embossing - looks amazing!
